(video installation)

This piece is part of a series of works that are flying instructions. The first was an endurance performance of the gestures seen here, the second a video installation with blue screen. This work distills the previous versions into pure instructions directing the viewer to attempt to fly (the slide presentation format adding directness and also a layer of factual authority) making its request for suspension of disbelief more direct and also absurd. The piece is installed on a large wall in a gallery space as an ongoing loop.
